The Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) is recognized as a leading industry standard by several independent Web professional associations and organizations. The credential is endorsed by the International Webmasters Association and recognized by the Association of Internet Professionals.

The CIW certification program, currently in its fourth generation and is based on key e-business job roles and the skills required to perform them. The CIW curriculum and examinations develop and prove competency in those important job roles. It is a vendor-neutral, standardized method of ensuring that individuals have demonstrated technical competency in SEO, MySQL, HTML and the basics of internet protocols.

CIW Certifications and Paths

The first step toward CIW certification is CIW Foundations. After successful completion of the Foundations exam, candidates are awarded a CIW Associate certification. After CIW, students will take our hands-on web design course and learn from the industry's top web designers.

As web sites get more and more complex, those with a CIW certification will see themselves in higher demand; and, unless you think the internet is a fad, it seems obvious to most that the need for web designers will be around for many years to come.
